Ibiza port promenade reopens to cars until March

Cars can use the Paseo de la Marina at the port of Eivissa, Ibiza, again from Thursday 5 November. Parking is allowed around the clock, but drivers can stay for no more than two hours between 08.00 and 22.00. The Balearic Port Authority says the reopening ends the summer traffic closure and will remain in place until the end of March.

Spaces for loading and unloading goods remain reserved from 08.00 to 17.00, Monday to Friday, and from 08.00 to 14.00 on Saturdays.

The change is intended to make driving and parking easier for local people, traders and customers. The port authority is following last year’s timetable, when it reopened the promenade in early November at the request of Eivissa’s town council. It says local people and businesses welcomed that arrangement.
