Palma water works: Joan Miró gets two-week dig
Palma water works return to Joan Miró on Monday, with a two-week project planned between Carrer de Saridakis and the Ma-1. Municipal utility Emaya is replacing drinking-water and sewer lines on the stretch. It is also starting paving work in Sa Feixina, due to end on Tuesday.
New water and sewer pipes
The 705,000-euro project includes new sewer collector pipes linking Cala Major with the pumping station in the Paraires area. Emaya will also replace the main drinking-water pipe that runs alongside them.
The utility says the work will strengthen the capacity and reliability of water and sewer services in the area. It says the project has been planned to keep disruption from the works as low as possible.
Sa Feixina paving begins
In Sa Feixina, paving will affect Avinguda Argentina and Plaça de Sa Feixina. More than 207,000 euros is being invested in the work.
Emaya says the resurfacing marks the final stage of water-network renewal in the area. The intervention is needed to complete the modernisation of Sa Feixina’s water-supply infrastructure.
