Mallorca food awards to honour 18 venues and chefs

Mallorca’s food awards are set to honour 18 establishments and professionals, from bars and bakeries to chefs. The employers’ association Pimem presented the 2026 awards on Friday, 9 October, at its headquarters in Palma, Mallorca. This fourth edition has three categories and an honorary prize.

Bars, bakeries and local food

Bodega Morey will receive the bar culture award. Bar Casa Miss takes the variat award, Bar Plata the llonguet award and Sa Ximbomba the pa amb oli award. Bacan is recognised for speciality coffee, while Coquetier Cocktail Club takes the cocktail award.

In the local food category, the Binissalem designation of origin receives the award for patronage and sponsorship. Gelateria Ca’n Miquel is recognised as an artisan ice cream shop or chocolatier, and Galetes d’oli Artàsanes for local produce. Koldo Royo is honoured for promoting Mallorcan food, Forn Fondo as a bakery and Pastisseria Ca’n Roca as a pastry shop.

Chefs, a restaurant and the gala

The kitchen and gastronomy awards recognise Rodolfo Antonelli for front-of-house management and Fernándo Pérez Arellano as best chef. Marga Coll receives the career award, Zaranda is named best restaurant and Jordi Cantó takes the emerging chef award.

Pimem says Rubén García, Cap Pela, Aina Zanoguera, Pep Noguera and Carlitos Alcover will perform at the gala. Chef David de Jorge is also due to take part.
