Mallorca mental health groups helped 1,545 people

Mallorca's six mental health organisations helped 1,545 people last year: on Thursday, they will gather in Sineu, Mallorca, to make the case for their work. The Mental Health Federation says the event is linked to World Mental Health Day and will highlight the role of non-profit organisations, known as the third sector, in mental health.

Members of Associació Gira-Sol, Fundació Es Garrover, Estel de Llevant, Fundació Tutelar Demà, Fundació Deixalles and GREC are expected to attend, along with representatives of Sineu town council and the regional government. The groups will read a statement setting out their main demands under the slogan “The third sector is also mental health”. Mallorcan artist Xanguito is due to perform.
