Palma bus diversions: night run and fair close roads
Palma’s Pere Garau square closes to traffic from 15.00 on Saturday 26 September as the II Fira del Variat brings bus diversions and suspended stops. Later that evening, the XII Cursa Nocturna Sa Murada Palma SER Runner closes Avenida de Antoni Maura in both directions. Palma City Council says the changes affect several EMT Palma services and roads across the city.
Pere Garau closed until Monday
Pere Garau square remains closed to vehicles until 04.00 on Monday 28 September. Lines 5, 27, 28, 39 and 40, along with Nit Bus 3, will run partly on diverted routes during the closure.
Stops 191, 192, 193, 209, 210, 211, 1305 and 1319 will not be served by those lines while the diversion is in place.
Night run changes roads and buses
Avenida de Antoni Maura, between the Customs building and Plaça de la Reina, is expected to close from 19.00 to 23.00 on Saturday. Traffic on Calle del Conqueridor and Palau Reial towards Mirador is also affected, while the exit from the Parc de la Mar car park onto Avenida de Antoni Maura stays shut during the event.
Line 25 between s’Arenal and Plaça de la Reina/Catedral will instead travel via Avenida Argentina, Jaume III and Plaça de la Reina. Registered runners can use EMT Palma buses free between 17.00 and 24.00, but not lines A1 or A2, if they show their race number to the driver.
The council advises passengers to check notices on the app, website and affected stops before travelling.
