Mallorca: Palma races close roads, divert five bus routes

Responsible for this content: Frank Menze

On Mallorca, two races close roads in Palma on Sunday: five bus routes change course, and stops in Playa de Palma and Son Gotleu go out of service. Palma City Council says the disruption centres on the coastal race and a second event in Son Gotleu. The races are the Palma Beach Course 10K y Media Maratón and the Milla Atlas per la Infància.

Playa de Palma roads close from 8.00

The beachfront road in Playa de Palma and s'Arenal closes to traffic from 8.00 to 13.00 for the VI Palma Beach Running Course 2026. Bus routes A2, 23 and 25 change course and end at Calle de Trasimé 50. Stops 490, 624, 625, 866, 622, 902, 887, 888, 889, 903, 890, 691, 692, 771 and 693 have no service during the closure.

Other roads along the coastal race route close as runners pass between 9.00 and 15.00. The race starts and finishes on Carretera del Arenal at the corner of Calle de Miquel Pellisa. It also runs along Calle de Cartago, Avenida de Bartomeu Riutort and Calle de Palangres.

Son Gotleu closure diverts routes 5 and 7

For the Milla Atlas per la Infància, Calle Indalecio Prieto closes from the Miquel Dolç roundabout to Camí de Son Gotleu between 10.00 and 14.00. Bus routes 5 and 7 take diversions during that time.

Route 7 uses Calle de Manacor and turns at the Can Blau roundabout. Route 5 takes different roads in each direction. Stops 213, 188, 189, 191, 192, 393, 394, 416, 417, 418 and 392 have no service while the road is closed.
