Palma tapas fair brings nine regions to Parc de la Mar
Tapas from nine regional houses take over Parc de la Mar in Palma from Friday, 11 September, to Sunday. The fair runs from 10.00 to 23.30, with music, dance, folklore and children’s activities. Nine associations and cultural centres bring dishes and traditions from their home regions.
The Department of Presidency, Coordination of Government Action and Local Cooperation has organised the event. Its director general for institutional relations and relations with Parliament, Xesca Ramis, visited on Friday and met representatives of the participating groups.
Tapas and traditional dishes
The tapas fair is one of the main draws. Each participating house prepares tapas and traditional dishes from its region, offering a taste of different recipes and flavours alongside their cultural traditions.
Those taking part include the Casa Regional Valenciana en Baleares, Hogar Canario en Baleares, Casa Regional de Murcia en Mallorca, Casa de Andalucía en Baleares and Centro Gallego de Mallorca. Also present are Asociación Amigos Rocieros en Baleares, Artea Euskal Etxea de Mallorca, Casa Regional Madrileña en Baleares and Falla El Toro-Casa de Valencia in Calvià.
