Mallorca’s Sa Pobla grants: PP demands payment dates
Students and sports clubs in Sa Pobla, Mallorca, have no date for their 2026 council grants, the local People’s Party (PP) says. On 19 October 2026, the party calls on mayor Biel Ferragut to pay the outstanding money. Its spokesperson, Pedrona Seguí, says families, athletes and non-profit groups are waiting without knowing when they can count on the funds.
The funding includes higher education grants for the 2025–2026 academic year, alongside grants for sports clubs, sports organisations, individual athletes and non-profit groups. The PP wants the council to say where each application stands, give expected dates for decisions and set a payment timetable. No payment date has been announced in the party’s statement.
