Mallorca’s Sa Pobla: PP seeks cleaner playgrounds

Mallorca’s Sa Pobla could get cleaner playgrounds, streets and sports facilities: the People’s Party (PP) will take a year-round cleaning plan to the next council meeting. The party announced the motion on Friday, 30 October.

The plan would cover every street, along with squares, green spaces, playgrounds and sports facilities. It would set how often each area is cleaned and schedule regular work throughout the year, with the service organised around the needs of different parts of the municipality.

PP spokesperson Pedrona Seguí says cleaning should not be a one-off or leave some areas without the attention they need. She wants children to be able to play in clean parks, sports facilities kept in good condition and streets cared for. Whether councillors will back the plan remains to be seen.
