Sa Pobla school: €222,000 grounds revamp goes to tender
New paving, a ramp and drainage changes are planned for the outdoor areas of CEIP Vialfàs in Sa Pobla, in a contract worth more than €222,000 put out to tender on Wednesday. The Balearic Islands Department of Education and Universities expects the work to take two months. It says the project is intended to improve how the areas work, their safety and accessibility.
Part of the existing paving will be renewed. The spaces around the trees will be enlarged and new slopes created so rainwater can drain away properly.
The plans also include a new ramp into the school building, replacing a wastewater pipe and moving the hut that houses the pressure unit for the fire-protection system.
