Mallorca: over 70 stand against sexist violence
More than 70 people gather in Plaça Bernat de Santa Eulàlia in Santa Eugènia, Mallorca, on Thursday 22 October to reject sexist violence. They call for a society built on equality and mutual respect.
The association Hombres por la Igualdad de Mallorca says it organised the gathering with Santa Eugènia council and the Mancomunitat del Pla de Mallorca. Rafael Crespí, known as “de Cas Sabater”, joins the Roda d’Homes, or men’s circle.
The event calls on men and the wider public to speak out against every form of sexist violence. Organisers say ending it needs everyone’s commitment. They want men to help build a more equal society, without violence, machismo or domination.
