Prosecutor seeks six years in Mallorca sexual abuse case

A man goes on trial at 10am on Monday, 14 September, accused of sexually abusing a woman on a terrace in s'Illot, Mallorca. Prosecutors are seeking six years in prison and €15,000 in compensation. The case will be heard by the Second Section of the Balearic Provincial Court.
The alleged assault happened in the early hours of 11 July 2019, according to the prosecution indictment. It says the woman verbally objected and physically resisted.
Prosecutors say she later suffered anxiety and an anxiety-depressive disorder as a result of the alleged assault.
