Tractor overturns in Bunyola, killing farm worker

A farm worker aged about 45 dies after his tractor overturns on a finca in Bunyola, Mallorca, on Saturday, 26 September. The crash happens at about 10.30am while he is carrying out ploughing work. Emergency crews reach the site but cannot save him.
Blow to the head before tractor overturns
A flying object reportedly strikes the man on the head during the work. He then loses control of the tractor, which overturns on the land.
The sequence was first reported by Última Hora and confirmed by the Guardia Civil.
Guardia Civil investigates fatal crash
The worker dies at the scene, according to the emergency response.
The Guardia Civil’s Judicial Police unit has taken over the investigation to establish how the fatal workplace accident happened.
