TUI Peru trips rise 10%; Amazon in 30% of bookings
TUI reports a 10% rise in trips to Peru over the past year: an Amazon experience now features in 30% of its bookings, and the operator is planning more departures for summer 2027. TUI announced the figures in Madrid on 6 October 2026 as it strengthened its work with Peru’s tourism promotion agency, Promperú, to show Spanish travellers more of the country.
Amazon trips and new routes
Groups now account for 20% of TUI’s Peru sales, while older travellers account for 15%. Bookings with an Amazon experience mainly take in Puerto Maldonado, in Peru’s Madre de Dios region, or Iquitos, in Loreto.
TUI is also seeing growing interest in the northern coast, including Máncora and Tumbes. It wants to add more hiking options, such as the Inca Trail.
More departures for summer 2027
From June to September 2027, TUI plans exclusive departures with flight seats and ground capacity set aside for the busiest months. Customers currently book Peru trips four to five months ahead.
New options include Huacachina lagoon and the Barranco neighbourhood of Peru’s capital, Lima. TUI is also building up trips that combine Peru with other South American destinations. Its work with Promperú aims to bring the country’s less familiar regions into more itineraries.
