Mallorca hackathon: six teams can win €1,000 each
In Muro, Mallorca, up to 150 vocational students tackle six challenges set by companies at the Playa Garden Selection Hotel on 3 and 4 November 2026. The event is a 24-hour innovation contest called the Circular Innovation Hackaton. Students must register individually by 7 October 2026, and places are limited, according to the Balearic Ministry of Education and Universities.
Six firms set the challenges
The students will work in 30 teams drawn from different vocational subjects. Angel24, Bongrup, Estel, HBX Group, Melchor Mascaró and Sampol have set problems involving water, energy, food, materials, transport, and the relationship between land and sea. Teachers and company professionals will help the teams turn their ideas into workable proposals.
One prize for each winning team
At the end, the teams will present their proposals to a panel of experts. The best team on each challenge will receive €1,000, a certificate and help publicising its solution. Every participant will receive a certificate.
Impulsa Balears and the Balearic Ministry of Education and Universities are organising this third edition. The rules and registration form are on the website of the Balearic Centre for Vocational Training, Innovation and Development. The centre is also running a 50-hour course for eligible vocational teachers who have mentored earlier InnovaFP hackathons, coordinate entrepreneurship classrooms or can use the training in their lessons.
