Climate in Sant Agustí — Marina District on the Western Edge of Palma
Sant Agustí is a lively neighborhood in the west of Palma de Mallorca, home to the Cala Nova marina and numerous restaurants and bars with sea views. As the western part of the Palma urban area, Sant Agustí shares the Bahia de Palma climate — but with one key difference from the city center: direct access to the sea makes it one of the most sea-breeze-exposed districts in Palma.
Annual rainfall totals 449 mm according to AEMET — the reference figure for all of Palma. November is the wettest month, with around 79 mm; July sees roughly 9 mm. Summers are dry and warm: daily highs in July hover around 31°C, with a daily average of around 26°C.
The more direct sea breeze in Sant Agustí is a real practical advantage in midsummer: the afternoon Embat (bay breeze) reaches the waterfront district earlier and more intensely than the inner-city neighborhoods. Temperature differences are minimal, but the felt climate along the promenade — with the sea wind in your face — is noticeably more pleasant in July than further inland. The Bahia de Palma water temperatures are right on the district's doorstep: around 26°C in July, around 27°C in August, and still around 23°C in October.
Winters are mild: the January daily average is around 11°C. Frost is very rare across the Palma urban area. Sant Agustí's restaurant scene keeps the neighborhood lively well into winter.
