Climate in Randa — in the shadow of Puig de Randa
Randa sits at 149 meters above sea level, at the foot of Puig de Randa — the most striking isolated hill on the Mallorcan plain, rising to 543 meters. Its position is not without meteorological significance: under certain weather patterns, the mountain acts as an orographic barrier where clouds are forced upward and release somewhat more precipitation than on the open plain surrounding it.
