Mallorca florists urge families to bring flowers to graves

Responsible for this content: Frank Menze

Mallorca’s florists are urging families to bring flowers to loved ones’ graves on 1 November: they want the All Saints’ Day tradition to reach younger generations. The Mallorca Florists’ Association is also asking families to share memories during their cemetery visits. In a statement on Monday, 26 October, Pimeco said the visit need not be only a time of sadness; it can be a chance to tell family stories.

The association is encouraging people to use local flower shops. Florists are making bouquets and arrangements for the occasion, it says, and can help families choose flowers that carry personal meaning.
