50 shows: Palma’s Nit de l’Art fills Mallorca
More than 50 exhibitions and over 100 artists take over Palma, Mallorca, for Nit de l’Art on Saturday, 19 September. The 30th edition of the art night runs from 18.00 to 23.00 and extends to Andratx, Pollença and Santanyí. The 16 galleries of Art Palma Contemporani are behind the programme.
Alongside the gallery trail, the 2026 event includes concerts, cultural events and free guided tours in several languages. Es Baluard Museu d’Art Contemporani, Fundació Miró Mallorca, Fundación Juan March, CaixaForum Palma, La Llotja and Museu de Mallorca are among the participating venues.
New openings in Palma
Palma City Council is staging its own programme at Casal Solleric, Can Balaguer, Fundació Miró Mallorca and Espai Cor. Casal Solleric opens two exhibitions on 19 September: a project by Nous Talents winner Rebeca Morey Pérez, curated by Biel Amer, and Bel Fullana’s installation Club Miseria: The Last Beat.
Fullana’s work will fill the Solleric courtyard, showcase space and loggia. DJs Mare de Déu and Orojondo will perform at the opening. The venue also has two exhibitions already open: A media lumbre, led by the Institut Valencià d’Art Modern with Palma City Council, and L’imprescindible: el gravat entre gravats, a selection of graphic works from a collection.
Shows opening before art night
Can Balaguer stays open from 19.00 to 23.00 on 19 September for The House and the Forest and Gaudí, impressions íntimes. Curator Janice McNab presents the book for The House and the Forest there on 18 September.
Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró Mallorca opens its new projects on 18 September, with visits available until 11 April. They include Pedro Torres’s Jora, an installation exploring alabaster, water and light; Isabel Servera’s Alenades; and Carlos Casas’s films Cemetery (2019) and Bestiari (2025).
Espai Cor opens El cor del bosc by Palma artist Fabián Schalekamp on 15 September.
