Mallorca film fest unveils Cinema Paradiso look

Palma, Mallorca, gets the 17th Atlàntida Mallorca Film Fest from 23 July to 1 August next year. Totó from ‘Cinema Paradiso’ is the face of its new look, unveiled on 3 November at the World Travel Market in London.
Mallorcan artist Alejandro Javaloyas created the design using images from Giuseppe Tornatore’s film. Its classic lettering and references to cinema frontages recall the look of old picture houses.
The launch took place at Westminster’s Lord Mayor’s Parlour before film and tourism professionals and international media. Balearic president Marga Prohens and Palma mayor Jaime Martínez attended. Festival director Jaume Ripoll said more than 53,000 people attended the last edition.
