Palma: nine Ñaco Fabré works slow the pace at CaixaFòrum
Nine works by Mallorcan artist Ñaco Fabré are now on show at CaixaFòrum Palma in Mallorca. “Càntic. El profund és l'aire” opened on Tuesday, 15 September 2026, and runs until 24 January 2027. The exhibition brings paintings, sculptures and works on paper together for the Nit de l'Art de Palma.
Lines, blocks of colour, shadows and the spaces between forms sit at the heart of the show. The 'la Caixa' Foundation says the exhibition argues for a slower way of looking amid modern noise and overload, turning to time, memory and art's ability to create meaning.
Fabré uses geometry not as a rigid set of rules, but to arrange forms without pinning them down. Curator Raquel Victoria Rodríguez López says his work grows from sustained attention to light, space, form and perception. Landscape, she says, is not presented as a recognisable image but as a condition for seeing.
The exhibition is the second jointly organised by the 'la Caixa' Foundation and Es Baluard Museu d'Art Contemporani de Palma. Its title comes from a line in “Más allá”, a poem in Jorge Guillén's book “Cántico”.
