Arias and duets open Mallorca’s Concerts a Palau series in Palma, Mallorca, on 23 October. Dozens of people attend the first of four concerts in the Mallorca Island Council’s plenary chamber. The Cercle Líric Balear and Orfeó de Mallorca perform the opening show, Calidoscopi musical.
Their soloists sing without accompaniment and with piano. The programme includes pieces the singers have worked on at their academic meetings, the council says.
Three concerts remain in the series. Coral Sor Francinaina, the duo Raquel Llera and Daniel Mulet, and Mallorcan band The T-Makers are due to perform.
