Mallorca’s €400 culture voucher: apply by 31 October
On Mallorca, in Spain’s Balearic Islands, young people born in 2008 have until 31 October 2026 to apply for a €400 culture voucher. Spain’s Ministry of Culture says it has received 6,077 applications from across the Balearic Islands so far. The scheme is for people who have turned 18 or will do so this year.
What the voucher covers
The scheme, called Bono Cultural Joven, gives successful applicants a prepaid card, either on their phone or as a physical card. They can use it at participating shops and organisations; 4,159 are taking part across Spain.
The usual spending limits are up to €200 for live arts, audiovisual culture, heritage and art materials; up to €100 for physical products such as books, magazines, video games, vinyl records and CDs; and another €100 for digital purchases, including ebooks, online press and music or video subscriptions.
Alternatively, recipients can spend the full €400 on one of these categories: cultural courses and workshops, musical instruments, or art-making tools and materials.
How to apply
Applicants must identify themselves through Cl@ve, with basic or advanced registration, or use a digital certificate. They can apply themselves or have an adult act for them. An adult representative must attach the applicant’s signed form.
Once approved, the cardholder has a year to spend the money with participating providers. Across Spain, the ministry has received 337,157 applications for this year’s voucher. It says 1,298,764 people received the support over the previous four editions.
