Giant dinosaur replica arrives in Palma on 26 November
A replica of the largest dinosaur known to have lived on Earth arrives at CaixaForum Palma on 26 November. The Patagonian dinosaur exhibition stays open until 3 October 2027, bringing together replicas of more than a dozen species. They range from the only known horned meat-eating dinosaur to some of the oldest specimens known, according to the Fundación la Caixa.
The dinosaur show is part of CaixaForum Palma’s programme for the final four months of the year. Before it opens, the Palma artist Ñaco Fabré takes over the venue with Cántico. Lo profundo es el aire, a show centred on contemplation at a time of speed and bustle. It opens on 16 September and runs until 24 January 2027.
Art, colour and two modern painters
Colores del mundo remains open until 12 October. It looks at the colours found in Earth’s landscapes and the meanings different cultures give them.
Also on show until 10 January is Zuloaga y Anglada-Camarasa: dos visiones de la modernidad. The exhibition follows the work, lives and friendship of the two painters.
Films, theatre and science
CaixaForum Palma will also run its inclusive film club, Tiempo de cine: El cineclub de CaixaForum, with this edition focused on migration. Actress Àurea Márquez will perform El huerto de los cerezos in the Grandes maestros del teatro series.
The programme includes Divertimento, la música explicada, combining the story of classical music with live performance. Children’s events include Pequeños cinéfilos and Anna Irina Russell’s Artefacto: Mil tentáculos workshop, while the new science series El cerebro a través de los sentidos explores the senses and how the brain interprets sensory information.
