Mallorca drive-in cinema brings four films to Port Adriano

Port Adriano in Calvià, Mallorca, will turn its car park into a drive-in cinema for two nights on 23 and 24 October. There will be two screenings each evening, at 19.30 and 21.30, making four films in all. Calvià Council is staging the ‘Cine con Coche’ events with the Evolution Mallorca Film Festival, known as Emiff.

The film nights are tied to an audiovisual piece featuring Toni Pons, made to showcase filming locations across the municipality. The agreement is part of Calvià’s push to back Balearic film talent and present the area as a place for future productions.

Magaluf events lead into the festival

The programme begins on 23 September at Shallow Beach, inside the INNSiDE by Meliá Calvià Beach in Magaluf. Festival organisers will reveal early news and names for Emiff 2026, along with the full ‘Made in Balears’ selection, the festival section for Balearic audiovisual talent.

On Friday 30 October, Meliá South Beach in Magaluf will host an event marking the 20th anniversary of the Associació de Cineastes de Balears. It includes a panel discussion, an industry meeting and screenings of work shot in Calvià by filmmakers from the association.

International filmmakers will tour Calvià locations

On 4 November, international Emiff guests will take part in a special edition of ‘Mallorca Go!’. The route, running alongside ‘Calvià, Plató de Cine’, will visit locations around the municipality and bring visiting professionals together with Mallorca’s audiovisual sector.

Emiff’s 15th edition runs in Mallorca from 28 October to 4 November 2026. Its full programme is due to be published on 15 October.
