Mallorca: Fira B! brings 80 acts to Palma stages
Palma, Mallorca, will host more than 80 theatre, dance and music acts when Fira B! returns this autumn. The performing-arts programme runs from Wednesday 30 September to Saturday 3 October, before the music dates take over from 4 to 7 November. The fair will spread across venues in Palma, with the Teatre Principal de Palma opening the first four-day run with Produccions de Ferro’s L'arquitecte.
The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport says the 11th Fira B! will bring together artists, programmers, cultural professionals and audiences. More than 30 theatre, dance and new-stage-format projects are planned for the first event, followed by nearly 60 music performances in November.
Theatre and dance take over Palma
The first day also includes L'amor, la set at the Teatre Municipal Maruja Alfaro and Sacrifici by Jatovital, winner of Art Jove 2025. Ca n'Oleo will stage Crònica d'un mig estiu.
Es Baluard will host a large share of the dance and new-format work on 2 and 3 October. The programme includes three contemporary dance productions arriving through a partnership with LABO XL, a festival from San Sebastián in the Basque Country. Companies from France and Germany are also due to perform.
Industry representatives will meet at Mar i Terra from 30 September to 2 October for sessions on making work, touring it and taking it abroad. The programme includes workshops, meetings with sector associations and presentations by festivals and markets.
Music follows in November
Fira B! Música opens on Wednesday 4 November at the Teatre Municipal Xesc Forteza, with Balearic artists alongside international guests including Benjamín Aedo from Chile, Yamile Burich and Ornella Contreras from Argentina, and Fábio Leandro from Brazil.
Concerts then move to Es Gremi Centre Musical on 5 November and Es Baluard on 6 November. The final day is set for Motorworld Mallorca, with acts including FAIXA - TROVAM, Pitxorines, The Crab Apples, Laura Marchal and Zulu Zulu.
Italy is the guest country, with particular attention on Emilia-Romagna and Apulia. Palma will also host the first Ibero-American Meeting for Jazz and Improvised Music on 4 November at the Teatre Municipal Xesc Forteza, bringing together professionals and institutions from Spain, Portugal and Latin America.
