Seven Mallorca shows: Fira Tàrrega takes the stage

Seven performances by companies from Mallorca and the Balearics will feature in Fira Tàrrega 2026’s official programme. Hermanas Picohueso and L’Atapeïda will bring two productions to Tàrrega, while the Institut d’Estudis Baleàrics will run a Balearic Islands stand at the event. The fair is due to take place from 10 to 13 September.

The stand, beside the Llotja de Tàrrega, will be open throughout the four-day fair. It will showcase performing-arts projects and aims from the islands, according to the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports.

Two productions, seven performances

Hermanas Picohueso will give three performances of Skai is ful at Tàrrega’s municipal sports pavilion. The show, co-produced with Palma’s Teatre Principal and backed by the Institut d’Estudis Baleàrics among others, offers an immersive take on the sky.

L’Atapeïda will stage Xirinxina four times at La Plana 6. The production combines dance, acrobatics and clowning, using movement, physical theatre and humour to explore the idea of carrying a burden.

Mallorca venues and festivals join delegation

The Institut d’Estudis Baleàrics has also assembled a professional delegation and will publicly present Fira B! 2026 during Tàrrega’s professional programme. Mallorca representatives include the Teatre de Manacor, Artà municipal theatre, Alcúdia auditorium, Eima and the Centre for Scenic Research in Sineu.

Mallorca festivals Circaire, Ciclop, Eima and Úrbic are also part of the delegation, alongside companies and artists from across the Balearics. Culture director-general Llorenç Perelló, who will attend, called Fira Tàrrega an essential date in the performing-arts calendar.
