Responsible for this content: Frank Menze

Nine free storytelling sessions begin in Santa Eulària, Ibiza, on Friday 16 October: families can turn up without booking. Santa Eulària Town Council’s Contes de Tardor programme runs across the municipality’s five parishes until 10 December. Eight sessions are for children aged three and over and their families; the ninth is for people aged 16 and over.

Stories across five parishes

Idam Kids Ibiza opens the programme at the Santa Eulària Municipal Library on 16 October. The stories then move to the cultural centre in Puig d’en Valls on 21 October and the public library at CEIP Santa Gertrudis on 27 October.

November brings sessions in Jesús on the 9th, Santa Eulària on the 12th and Sant Carles on the 20th. Every children’s session starts at 17.00. The council says the programme aims to encourage children to read and give families something to do together.

Sign language at two sessions

The children’s events at the Santa Eulària Municipal Library on 26 November and 10 December will have sign-language interpretation, with support from the Balearic Federation of Deaf People. The 10 December event closes the children’s programme.

Later that day, at 20.00, Milagros Pierna presents Historias vividas at the same library. The storytelling session for people aged 16 and over brings the programme to a close.
