In Inca, Mallorca, tickets for the 20.00 performance of ‘Llach - Gener 76’ at the Teatre Principal de Inca sell out in just two days. A second show has been added at 17.00 on Saturday, when the production makes its Balearic premiere, producer Ben Aisit says.

The show returns to concerts Lluís Llach gave at Barcelona’s Palau dels Esports in January 1976, shortly after Francisco Franco’s death. Those performances were recorded on the album ‘Barcelona. Gener de 1976’.

Gemma Humet and Joan Reig sing songs including ‘L’estaca’ and ‘Silenci’. Manel Camp, who wrote the arrangements for the 1976 concerts, directs the music and plays piano. They are joined by Txabi Ábrego on guitars, Jordi Gas on bass and vocals, Anna Bosch on keyboards, Sofía Itriago on flute and Lluís Ribalta on drums.

The production has already played in Catalonia and the Valencian Community. Inca now gets two performances instead of one.
