Mallorca Film Fest passes 1.5m online film views
More than 1.5 million films have been watched online at the Atlàntida Mallorca Film Fest, while its Mallorca events drew a record 53,500 spectators. The festival said on Monday, 7 September, that viewing through Filmin was 5% higher than in 2025. Its 16th edition’s in-person programme ended on 2 August.
The online chart was led by Kokuho. El maestro del kabuki, followed by H de halcón, Truly Naked, Siri Hustvedt, la danza del yo and La mirada de Ulises.
Online favourites and critics’ choice
In the official RAW section, H de Halcón took the most views. It was followed by Un secuestro familiar, Yes!, Tell Everyone and Seis días en primavera.
Viewers gave the highest rating to Siri Hustvedt, la danza del yo. The critics’ prize from the Acced jury went to Yes!, a political satire by Israeli filmmaker Nadav Lapid.
Record turnout across Palma
The festival’s screenings, talks and concerts were held at venues in Palma including Ses Voltes, La Misericòrdia, Es Baluard Museu, Sala Rívoli, CineCiutat and the Hotel Victoria Gran Meliá. More than 500 people received accreditation.
Across its in-person and online programmes, the festival presented 160 titles from 22 nationalities. Organisers are now preparing the 17th edition, set to run in Mallorca from 24 July to 1 August 2027, with Filmin hosting the online programme from 24 July to 24 August.
