Mallorca’s Miró landscape design day sells out

Mallorca: no tickets remain for the Pilar and Joan Miró Foundation’s first international contemporary landscape design day on Thursday. Landscape designer Luciano Giubbilei and Yorkshire Sculpture Park founder Peter Murray are the two speakers. The event runs from 10.00 to 16.00 in the foundation’s auditorium.

Giubbilei will explore perception and memory in gardens. Murray will discuss the relationship between sculpture and nature, and how people experience art in a landscape.

The foundation says it wants the day to encourage international discussion of gardens and natural settings as living ecosystems and cultural heritage. It also sees landscape design as a way to think about how people use spaces and protect ecosystems.
