Mallorca orchestra brings concerts to children in hospital

Palma, Mallorca: the Balearic Symphony Orchestra is bringing monthly concerts to the paediatric unit at Son Espases University Hospital from October 2026. Children, young people and their families will be able to get to know the instruments up close. The concerts are planned once a month until March 2027, from 16.00 to 17.00.
The Balearic Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport announced the programme on Monday, 28 September 2026. Orchestra musicians Sebastià Pou, Susana Pacheco, Nigel Carter, Clara Mascaró and Eudald Ribas are taking part.
The orchestra and the Directorate-General for Culture want the programme to bring music beyond the concert hall and into the hospital.
