Spain at the Louvre: Galván under the pyramid
Israel Galván brings a new 40-minute work beneath the pyramid at the Louvre in Paris on 8 December 2026. He will perform it at 19.00 and 21.30, opening a Spanish weekend that includes evening concerts and late gallery access. Afterwards, visitors can explore the museum’s ‘Zurbarán’ and ‘Esculpir el color’ exhibitions independently for about an hour.
The weekend is part of a wider Louvre programme devoted to Spain, running from 7 October 2026 to 22 January 2027.
Rossy de Palma picks ten films
Rossy de Palma has chosen ten films for screenings in the Louvre auditorium from 9 to 18 October. The actress will introduce several of them.
Music starts on 7 October with vocal group Cantoría performing works linked to the opening of the ‘Zurbarán’ exhibition. Jordi Savall and Hespèrion XXI follow on 13 January.
Later evenings at the Louvre
The Spanish weekend runs from 8 to 13 December. On 11 December, the galleries stay open until 21.00, with a talk and a concert by Galician duo Caamaño & Ameixeiras. Rodrigo Cuevas performs the following evening.
The music series closes on 22 January with guitarist Thibaut Garcia and his guests, as the ‘Zurbarán’ exhibition ends.
