Climate in Son Talent — Inland Finca Country near Manacor
Son Talent is a rural area of fincas at 205 meters elevation near Manacor — far enough from the coast to experience Mallorca's inland climate in its purest form. No sea breeze, clear nights, intense summer heat.
The climate profile of the Manacor region shows around 585 mm of annual rainfall according to aggregator climate data — more than Palma (449 mm according to AEMET) and with a strongly pronounced autumn pattern. November is the wettest month at around 104 mm. Summer is dry, as it is across Mallorca, with roughly 8 mm in July — but the heat hits the interior without the cooling effect of a sea breeze: daytime highs of around 29°C in July according to aggregator climate data, and in low-lying hollows, radiation-driven summer days can push beyond those figures.
The difference from the coast shows up most in the nights and in spring: Son Talent at 205 meters cools off more noticeably after dark than Cala Anguila or Cala Murada right on the water. That makes long summer nights under the open sky genuinely pleasant — guests staying in a finca sleep better than they would on a still coastal evening.
For Son Talent, the swimming season on the east coast is just a short drive away: the beaches are 15–20 kilometers out, with water temperatures around 25°C in July and still around 23°C in October, according to aggregator climate data.
Winter brings average daily temperatures of around 11–12°C in January. Frost cannot be entirely ruled out at this inland Mallorca elevation — on clear winter nights, low-lying hollows at 200 meters can dip below freezing, but it remains the exception.
