Sant Llorenç des Cardassar sits at 81 meters above sea level in the Llevant, the eastern part of Mallorca. The municipality serves as the administrative center for the coastal towns of Sa Coma and Cala Millor — a coastline whose climate differs considerably from that of the municipal area itself. The town center lies a few kilometers inland, but its flat terrain and short distance from the sea (roughly 5–7 km) give it a climate that falls somewhere between a pure inland climate and a direct coastal one.
